Pan and Tilt Unit with MAX Light and Lense Deep Sea Systems offers several new series of fully sealed harsh environment and underwater pan and tilt units designed to give years of trouble free operation. These units can be used topside on shipboard or in other applications such as nuclear, rocket launch, remotely operated land vehicles, underwater ROV or manned submarine applications. These pan and tilt units can be used to support TV cameras, lighting, transducer arrays or other payloads ranging from a few pounds to well over 130 pounds. Units can even be made explosion-proof when required.

Pan and Tilt Specifications
6-1-99. All specifications are subject to change without notice.

Each axis of the pan and tilt unit has a heavy-duty gearbox with 285:1 ratio gear head and an oversized bearing for heavy overhanging loads. Each gearbox is powered by a high-torque stepper motor, which can be operated dry, or in a pressure-balanced fluid or oil media for operations down to full ocean depth (6000 meters). User adjustable axis range stops are as simple as moving a socket head screw, and each axis drive can be continuously stalled without damage to the gear head or drive motor. O-ring seals throughout.
